Today I was at my brother's track meet, and went over to Nicollect Island to get pictures of the bridge and track work there. Still the same, but the Main St. bridge is gone.

Did you walk to the island bridge? A couple of weeks ago I was hoping to get a shot from there, but that bridge and road leading to it was closed off by construction.

Yeah, I walked. Park on Boom Island and take the path through the old Chicago Great Western bridge on the south side and follow the path along the side channel. The crossing is at the end of the path. Walk across the road and follow the path through the grassy area and you'll arive at the bridge.

Main St. bridge has been gone for quite some time. If you look west of that area, BNSF has built a new control point as well towards downtown for the Northstar depot lead track.
