Just for the record, the 9208 was the last SD60M to remain a BN and it was the single, unpatched SD60M for quite a while. It was patched on 11/04 at Glendive, MT. Now running as the BNSF 8108. Sad day indeed. On a similar topic, the last BN SD40-2 was the BN 7825. It was patched earlier this year during a class overhaul. There still is a BN 6908 which originally was a SD40-2 but has been re-classified as a SD39-2 at 2300 HP. The BN 6908 is assigned to through (road) service, but has been kept in the yard a Memphis since early August. With the demise of the BN 9208, and the exception of the quickly fading BN SD70MACs, there is isn't a single Burlington Northern locomotive pulling mainline freights. The green is gone. |
