Off the top of my head: 2-4 coal trains a day - random; TCW both ways - eastbound 10-11 am, westbound 4-6 pm; Monte Local both ways - eb 9-10am, wb 4-7 pm; Trains to and from Kansas City (1 each) - unreliable times; Trains to and from Pasco, WA (inbound to Northtown) - mid afternoon inbound; NTWWLM/WLMNTW - unreliable, I have seen both with in an hour of each other anywhere between 10 am and 7 pm. The Grand Forks, ND to BRC or GAL - mid afternoon. Other random re-routes are just that, random. And all times are approx! My photos are under |

The Wayzata Sub. doesn't see much coal traffic anymore. At the most there is two, but usually there is either 0 or 1 coal train a day. TCW is usually by Boom Island by 9 or 0930 unless they have work. Lately the train has been returning around 2000. The Monte is no longer twice a day. It runs just one direction each day now unless they can get back to Nothtown be dying. The UP MIR is still both directions Mon-Fri running in the late morning WB and EB in the afternoon. The NTWKCK is schedualed to run in the early morning, but it's usually out by 0900 but sometimes it runs in the afternoon. The KCKNTW runs at anytime. The only Pasco train is the PASNTW. It tends to arrive in the late morning. NTWWLM runs in the evening usually by 2200. The WLMNTW hasn't run for well over a year, KCKNTW replaced it. The GFDBRC runs between 1000 and 0200. The Z/Q CHCLAU runs aroumd 0930. Plus random grain trains, 1-6 a day. The DILLIN sometimes runs also. |

Coal has been really light lately on the Wayzata... Monti traffic has been a bit light, thru the end of the construction season [Nov] they were daily M-F round trips still. CHILAU ZQ train has been running late recently, 1300 or later. How often is TCW running their trains [the non-St Paul Turn ones] these days? I've not seen the NSI lately nor the ethanol/grain/coal trains lately though I've not been out on the sub on a regular basis... MNNRFAN - love that first shot over the river into Mpls, for as much time as I worked down there this fall I love the way that shot is composed with the train, bridges, signs, etc. |
