The preliminary work for the replacement of the BNSF bridge over the West channel of the Mississippi River (Nicollet Island) seems to be in place. The fill has been put into the channel to allow crane access to the bridge and a connection has been made between the two tracks across the island: Just a heads up for all those interested. But the main reason I'm writing this; does anyone know the ID of this train? It had the two CP AC44's and a solid train of empty DME hoppers, which appeared to have had sand/rock/gravel/ballast or similar item in them. I have seen one other unit train of DME hoppers on this line, but that had BNSF power on it. One more interesting tidbit. I was out getting a pic of a UP train crossing the Robert St Lift Bridge, and I noticed the piers on that one aren't looking too great makes me wonder how much more time that bridge has before it has to be replaced. BN screw up.. that was the power for train 377 coming out of 28th st. They thought they power was HP pay back and sent it on its way. |

I dunno... we do have alot of power on pay back to the UP, BN and CSX(almost all the sixties). I can see how it can happen. I heard they were just going to send the power back to Superior. |

I beleive it was the Z-CHCSSE today that had Soo 6061. |
