I was surprised to see this unit shoving car racks in and out of the BNSF terminal at pigseye, usually they just use that trackmobile. Can someone identify what type of engine it is? |

By the looks of the cab, it might be an old Santa Fe GP7 or 9, but thats about as much as I could tell you. Steve |

Former ATSF GP7u number 2081 build date 1955, renumber to 2768 in 1982 and retired in 1999. |

I'll buy lunch trackside someday and you can tell me how you know all that information. 
I guess we can now assume that it is out of retirement and renumbered 1608 Thanks for the info, I might try and post it at RP but I'm not very hopefull it will get accepted. |

2 big macs and a large fry ought to do. With all of the cloudy days lately and the amount of time I have spent at airports and hotels in the past few months has given me lots of time to bulk up my binder, Aaron has seen it but it was much smaller then
