I have been on the railroad for it seems like a million years, and I found you guys know way more about the equipment than I do. Probably since you pay way more attention! LOL Anyways, I ran a grain train to NTW two days ago with two on the lead, and two DP. This was a test train using the brand new GE's. Now, let me tell ya that I HATE running these GE things, since they are gutless, and don't pull for nothing, BUT I was somewhat impressed with the technology GE used for these new engines. It was the BNSF 6602,6603,6606, and 6607. They use max horsepower with less motors. Something about the center axles will compress to the rail when more tractive effort is need, and pull up when the need for traction is less. Very interesting units to run. I should have said something about it sooner, but I'm sure you guys are already ahead of the ball game on these things! |

See the heads up section with the title "C4's coming to town" or something like that. |

Well at least they looked good, but now they have faded into the "just another GE" catagory |
