Is the BNSF using large wood beams for flooding repair or building the commuter rail stuff? Today I saw a whole bunch of Norfolk Southern centerbeam flats (series 120xxx) at NTW. First, empties were arriving from the north/west, then I saw loaded cars coming from the east. The wood was untreated or pressure treated, about two ties in length with blue painted ends and four bolts in each one. I picture them as cribbing or supports of some sort. |

prolly swap mats for the Embridge pipe project in northern MN. there have been over 100 cars that have gone to Superior to be off loaded in Carlton. They lay them down in the swamps and drive over them. once done they get picked back up. |

I ment Rapids local. not Cass lake. how they are getting that far west I dont know. the rapids local might be going all the way to Cass Lake to spot them then the CL shoves them to Rosby. |
