I wasn't me on those trains. I was on the BNSF 8989 last night. But I didn't go through Aitken until 2 am (or thereabouts). Most of us whistle plenty through there since it is a smaller town, and I'm always worried about people going through tha crossing by the gas station. |

Well, I was west of town at the time, and the engineer gave some blasts after the crossing even though the next one was a ways away yet. I too see the 169 crossing by the gas station as an "accident waiting to happen." I myself have seen a gate runner or two there...just shows what people think of a "hurry" nowadays, and I should understand as I'm only 15, but I hate it! Hope to catch ya at the throttle someday! I came through on the BNSF 6068 on the 4th. Didn't see ya! But I did see some moron standing right next to the tracks ON A CURVE! Talk about suicide! Standing out in a remote location shooting pictures WAY to close to the tracks, and especially 49 MPH on a curve. If we jumped the tracks, he would have been hamburger meat. |
