All, Need some BNSF info....Saw a train this morning thru Trempealeau, WI about 7:10 a.m. Didn't think much as the power was pretty ordinary and I was getting ready for work, but the cars behind it were 100% Conrail open hoppers with the quality logos-could have been red or black, 3 bays, looked like steel to me as the light was marginal at the time. Any ideas on what this train was? |

Sorry, no help here. But it sounds like CP trains I used to see on occasion heading north/west through Shoreham. All NS, NW or Conrail open hoppers. |

Today Matt and I saw a train made of the full-sized mineral brown hoppers on the BNSF. The ones used for taconite. The strange thing was over the radio they kept id'ing themselves as a coal train. |
