Just curious if anybody knows why there was a light engine movement westbound through St. Cloud at about 21:20. I didn't get numbers but I think it was a pair of dash-9's (could be very wrong. I was on a transit bus and couldn't see very well). I can't think of where they would be heading. |

Lately BNSF seems to be using the 7884/8018 SD40-2 pair to run cars up to Staples, then they return light power to Northtown. Sometime later bigger road power heads light to Staples to pick up the cars. I've seen that happen at least twice. Those two SD40-2's have also been on the DILNTW/NTWDIL and NTWSUP/SUPNTW for about the last month. |

Must have been heading for the Staples pick-up. It certainly wasn't the 40's...as much as I would have liked to see them. |

They were not 40's. I saw them on my way home from Little Falls. 2 GE's . |

If I recall correctly last time I was watching trains with MilwaukeeRoadMatt behind Home Depot we heard of a light engine movement from Dilworth to Northtown. Sure enough it wasn't long and it passed in front of us. Seems like kind of a waste... |

I once took a train to Superior, drove 1.5 hours home afterwards, got called back to Superior the next evening and took 2 lite units to St. Paul, and then drove back home. talk about a waste! |

All of the renumbered SD40-2s look terrible. |
