There had been some posts a couple weeks back when the track in Monticello was plowed out. I heard the horn too late to get a nice shot, but a crew came out Sunday and removed the remaining well cars that had been stored just east of town. Maybe something coming out to the nuclear plant this week? If someone hears something, could they please leave a note here on the site. Thanks, Seth P. Monticello |

Word is all the spine cars off that line are going in for repair or modifications. |

Too Late Again. A crew returned to Monticello last night (Wed) about 830PM with 2 boxcars apparently for the plant. They ran around them downtown, then shoved them out. I was positioned wrong and didn't have enough time to reset for a "night" shot. Maybe I'll get lucky when they return to pickup the empties. Seth P. Monticello, MN |

Railfan Todd R ended up getting it: http://otvr213.rrpicturearchives.net/ar ... 263&Page=3 I was at University Junction last Wednesday and saw the Monti Local come in with their load that included 10 well cars, and around 6ish, they headed back for the Monti Sub with a pair of boxcars, didn't think much when I saw them leave, but now I know they brought up a couple boxcars. Had I known they were headed up to Monti, I would have followed it up the best I could, oh well! |
