If your talking about by Maryland Ave, that would be the BNSF St. Paul Sub. You would also cross the BNSF Midway Sub just south of there as they split coming out of Westminister Junction



Pardon the poor photo but the two tracks in the middle are the Midway sub and they cross under 35E just around that bend. The track with the tunnel is one main of the St. Paul sub (the other main is off to the left not visable also running in a tunnel) and runs farther North before swinging left and under 35E.

The train itsself is branching off onto the Altoona Sub.

This is one of locations I had hoped to show you if we ever get on the same schedule

Were the tracks by 96 running along hiway61. If so their the old NP skally now used by the MNNR to service two industries in Hugo to the north and to store grain cars on down by Buerkle road to the south.

There is actually a railroad crossing through county 96. It has gates and overhead flashers so I'm guessing the crossing is used at least on a semi-regular basis.

The other location is right on xrayguy, that is the one I'm asking about. Another 35E question: Between County Road E exit and the County 96 the interstate elevates and crosses over a single track. Is this line still used by anyone and what line is this? This wouldn't be the same one I see crossing through county 96 between White Bear Township and Shoreview would it? Doesn't seem possible.
