http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 065&nseq=0 http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 325&nseq=1 Where does one park? I would suspect shots like this are taken from the Kellogg Boulevard bridge? If so where do you park? Seems like it would be quite a walk no matter where one would park. I know when X was showing me around last winter there was parking near the former SPUD facilities but I'm wondering if there is closer parking people are utilizing? Are you paying to park? Once I get things figured out plan on seeing some shots from me from this location! Thanks guys! |

You would park in the same place to get both of those shots Just kidding. I rarely go there, I think the last time I did it there was a windchill in the teens and I stood there for about an hour. But to answer your question, there are several lots on Kellogg that you can use, but you will have to walk a ways. Years back I parked on the north side of Kellogg and put a buck in the box. I am not sure how parking might have changed since then but just be prepared to walk. |

I parked at a service station on Kellogg (just north of I94) that was closed for the weekend... wasn't the best neighborhood, but I really, really dig that angle. From the looks of things they cleared out a bunch of brush there recently. Yes, that is the Kellogg Blvd overpass. Bring a lawn chair and kick back and relax, most of the folks who walked past didn't seem too thrown off by me sitting there... and I was there for several hours on Saturday. |
