You asked what lens I used for the 2/18 Amtrak shot. The only lens I really ever use: Tamron AF XR Di 28-300mm. A good "off" brand wide range Canon compatible lens. the wide range and versatility made it worth the wait. The week it came out I picked it up for $400. |

I see a 28-300. That would solve some of my issues. I've discovered that the 55-300mm I almost always have on the camera is to much in certain situations, requiring me to change the lens. You've solved that issue with your current set up. Thanks for the info. I have done some price checking so my sticker shock has diminished somewhat. |

National Camera Exchange is a great store. They have many used lenses. <free advertising> I picked up my first 28-300 for $110. Who can beat the media card exchange policy? If you bought it there, trade it in for a new one, should it fail. </free advertising> |
