Wheeling Corrugating is on the south side of 27th. Most of the railfan parking areas are on the north side of 27th (Bemistape), which does not seem to be part of the planned redevelopment. Traffic & new viewblocks would become a possible drawback though. Also sounds like a hard sell to local residents. Hope for a NIMBY battle this time. John |

Saw a site plan that shows 27th ave as an exit from the facility. There were surveyor markings last fall that were all the way up to the end of 27th where the electric pole/pile of rocks are. Pipe dream would be somethng on the east side of 27th similar to Rochelle... |

There seams to be a lot of dislike for this planned location, I have seen lots of "dont dump on northeast" signs all over the area in direct response to this plant. History has proven that places like this that close to residential areas dont work. |
