Post subject: | Photo Question |
I just bought a new camera (Olympus SLR) and I seem to be having issues uploading to RP.net. The images willl not fully upload and the warnings I see say they can't find the file. All my photo's are in the same file as before. The rejections from RP.net claim that I can only use A-Z and 0-9 in the filename. I have verified that all files meet that criteria. Checking the properties on the files that will not upload.....All looks normal...They are all JPEG files about 2500 by 1800. Anybody have any issues resembeling these? Thanks Paul |

I only had that problem once, with one picture in particular. I am not sure what has happened. Are you resizing your photos? 2500x1800 is far too big! 1024x768 are typically the largest. You are also saving them as .jpgs? |

I am saving them as jpegs. I can resize but I have typically been sending that size from my other digital camera. Perhaps I'll resize to your suggestion and try again. I finally got one to go and was rejected for poor lighting. I was able to upload to Twincitiesrailfan. Thanks |

I save mine, the ones I upload to RP.net, at the afore mentioned 1024x768. The size is 898KB. I went and searched the threads in the RP.net forum, file size is far too large at the size you had. The ole poor lighting! Where did you get shots at? Did you go out today? |

Ok, I answered my own question. But I don't recognize the area of the CP 4446. Nice catch. |

Ok I'm going to resize to 1024x768 and try again. CP4446 is actualy from the CP office parking lot. Those 9 CEFX engines just arrived and I wanted to try and get what sun there was on the correct side. |
