5 years ago the UP spiked the switch at Northfield for the spur to Randolph and Cannon Falls MN. PGR said no, we want this line to survive. This past winter we handled 9 trainloads of wind towers to Randolph. YTD we have handled 900 plus loads of sand from our transload at the former Malting house in Cannon Falls. All of this traffic was UP originated. Yesterday the spur for envirotech was placed into service and 2 cars were delivered. I was a part of the sales team that made this happen. Was an awesome feeling. Thank you. Joe |

[quote="Joe"]5 years ago the UP spiked the switch at Northfield for the spur to Randolph and Cannon Falls MN. Does this mean they owned that line and wanted to abandon it? |

Good to hear that you, the rest of the sales team, and everybody else involved brought new life to that line. |
