Group,
Does anyone know if L.G. Everist owns any locomotives besides what the D&I is running? L.G. Everist wants to start running 50-car unit rock trains out of Ortonville to somewhere around Augusta to be unloaded. The trains are supposed to use L.G. Everist's power (instead of TC&W) so I'm wondering what's available.
Wish they hadn't gotten rid of the SD45s... :cry:

It sounds like they own an SW1500 that's down in KC, another SW-type that's out in Colorado, and then the SW8 that's at Ortonville. But other than those, all the other locomotives are owned by the Dakota & Iowa.

If these 50 car rock trains do start running, it will be interesting to see what they use for power.

I think Aaron is right with what they own... Anyone know what the power situation is on the D&I these days? Their roster looks interesting - would be nice to see them get those two SD39's off lease and over this way...
