With the steel/taconite companies laying off workers causing a down turn of rail shipment, is CN laying off workers? |

Just a guess, but more than likely. I read an article on MinnPost earlier today that mentioned 3 ships currently laid up in Duluth because of lack of Tac shipments. It also said there are only about 8 of 36 blast furnaces in the Great Lakes region that are still in operation. |

Not the right railroad for this post but does anyone know if the BNSF TAC train that used to come through the Metro almost daily is still operating? |

Good deal. finally something to look at. with the exception of MAYBE one a day coal trains the only thing running in the daylight is the local and the SUP-NTW late in the evening. 12 hours by the tracks at work and only two trains, that sucks. |

I don't believe that the DMIR employees have the same protective agreements as the WC side... I have talked to a few people that know guys with 30 years on the bread line over there. |
