Heading south on Snelling Ave, Tuesday, I saw boxcars heading west towards the CN depot in New Brighton. I figured it was a very late or very (12 hour) early WC Transfer. Lo and behold, I saw the a pair of CP Geeps.

Don't tell me T1 has DPU! I also don't think they were pushing at posted track speed. I couldn't imagine hanging on to protect the shove. Anyone know what went on?

Well I can tell you it was infact CP Transfer 1, they should have a caboose for the shoving moves so maybe it was tucked away somewhere up in NB.

The last two times I've seen Transfer 1 it's been sans-caboose. Hopefully it's not going to be a regular thing and I don't see how it can be as long as they still pull cars from the customer east of Cardigan (name escapes me at the moment).

I forget the customers name as well, but its at Spur 17.

I never saw the "head end", but a caboose would make sense. Don't they usually move the power around at Lexington or just east of Victoria?

I recall clipping along pretty good standing on the rear of the crummy when we were shoving back from Spur 17, blowing the usless lil whistle on the end of the caboose. As long as T1 goes out to Sput 17 they wont run around the train.
