Much like the two DM&E units on the end of a CP train this summer, last night (11/22/08) we saw two CP ES44s sandwiching a RRV&W 200(4 or 5) on the tailend of a train entering Humboldt. Of course, in the dark and on 94, it was impossible to tell if these units were pushing back or just on for a ride. But does anyone know why the RRV&W was on board? Are those Cats like on the TC&W? And wouldn't it have more likely been picked up in Pig's Eye to get home on the St Paul Turn? |

Without checking, the unit was probably from RRVW and going to/coming from St. Paul for wheel truing. |
