As of Monday March 30th, 2009. CP had 51 GEs stored, three are wrecked (but not bad enough to retire). The number has been increasing, and includes 11 ES44ACs. Note that CP is much less satisfied with the ES44ACs than they were with the AC4400CWs.

Also of note.

BNSF has decided to store virtually their entire fleet of AC4400CWs due to low traffic levels. The only exception is the six that they do not own, 5600 - 5602, 5840 - 5842. They will be going into storage over the next few weeks. Speculation is that there is some savings in parts inventory by taking an entire model out of service much as CP did with the SD9043MACs.

Now if someone could tell us where those AC4400CW's will be getting stored that would be GREAT. and no, this is not an April fools joke. I personaly hate this day and NEVER pull tricks,

Proof that its real. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 909&nseq=2

my understanding was yes. there last order of ES44AC's are crap, more then the first ones. something with the computers always failing. GE also used a different Air compressors then what CP specified and there are problems with that. now all this is hear say and the RR's are some of the worse rumors mill out there, so take this with a grain of salt.

maybe they should have given the ACe's more thought......

It seems that they are storing the first order of GEVOs not the last. And frontier I agree completely.

They could fill up track 1 with stored units like they did with B/O cars years ago.

Remember, there's always room for one more!

on the back strip where they used to stage trains??? there isn't much room up there for 30 locos.

either way I am sure we all will be out to shot them all lined up like when the first 20 went back.

If they are stored at Shoreham that's good news for me! It would almost be like the old days when I remember rows of bandit GP40s there.
