I wonder if they are heading out on the CN. These may be the same pieces of equipment I saw off of 35E two weeks ago. Just after X posted the heads up about the TC&W engineer. |

I was back up that way this afternoon, they are doing track maintenance from just east of the MNNR crossing to around Stinson Blvd. |

I asked those CP guys today what is going to become of the line and why they are suddenly upgrading it so much. The answer is because CP is going to be running more trains along that line now! The only bad part about that is that the WC won't be able to sit by the yard office anymore . Douglas H New Brighton, MN |

Where would they be sending more trains to through here? |

That would be my question too. Is there a track on that side of the river (St. Croix) that runs to Superior? Yesterday and again today there has been two CP-376 trains which are grain loads heading to Superior on the Hinckley sub. The only reason I mention this train is they need to shove out of Shoreham onto the BN and then head north through NTW, it seams like to much work so if they have something else over there that may be one reason. |

no, no track any longer that goes to Superior on the other side of the River. They want to send trains on past Shoreham, to Cardigan JCT then south from there, that way they are off the BN longer and they can park trains off the main line and closer to the yard when the crews die. This was talked about almost two years ago when I was on the rails. |

That makes perfect sense, the only bad thing would be the limited amount of CO photo Op's at University |
