Post subject: | CP train numbers |
I have scoured the internet for at least a year with no luck. I am looking for a list which details origination-destination for trains. Like were does the 298 go? For those who keep track, offers free PDFs of UP and BNSF symbols. |

I have been doing the same, my sources tell me the 298 is a manifest from Coquitlam BC to Chicago IL. Even numbers are east bound with odd numbers being west bounds. |

588 is the st. paul to Lacross, 589 is Lacross to St. Paul and 586 is Glenwood to Humbolt, and 587 is Humbolt to Glenwood. All are kown as the way freight, or the local on the BN, stops at various places and drops and picks up cars. I had all this at one time when I worked there. again I am a day late and a dollar short. there are a few 46x and 48x I thought that came from or went to Superior. MOST not all grains from superior head west and come from the east. there is a 199, exact oposite of the 198. says manifest but is stackers. some originate at shoreham. 189, 188, same as the 19X but I think auto racks/ stacks mixed. there is also a coke train that originates at the roseport refinery, that heads down the river with almost always CXS power. |

I know the 199 hits St. Paul by 0900h. The 198 and 298 leave Shoreham after 1400h. I have seen a unit train of sulfur tankers once or twice heading RR south. Would the 465 head up to Superior through Humboldt? Quite often, but no pattern recognized, a train heads north up the Hinckley. |
