Tiller Sand will be starting loading sand cars within a couple of weeks. ILSX 1345 (ex-BN 1418) is looking great waiting to help.

The Skally Line has added another engine! ILSX GP38AC #180 is on the line now. They are running two trains on certain days now. Today ILSX 180 and 1345 made the Hinckley Turn while SCXY 1363 and 1352 handled switching in North Branch at Zinpro and Tiller.

ILSX 180 had a tank full of gunk the end of December and had to go back to Bethel to remedy the issue. At the same time ILSX 1345 was having cold weather starting issues, so the SCXY power was doing double duty.

All the power should be back and running by now and the SCXY received over 400 new ties for line maintenance this spring

Who would have ever guessed 5 years ago that line would now have 4 units working it and a major rehab project going..... Nice to see the local shortline getting some business.

Getting Tiller Sand on the line has been a big boost to car volume! It's a pretty steady stream of sand cars from the south end. Empties will be stacked all the way into down town North Branch at times.
