Was up working on their 400th St. crossing today in North Branch, that is the second new [and huge] crossing signal in that area thanks to the housing boom. Talk about strange weather - thunder storms this close to Dec. Anyways, to the point - they have new power up there. SCXY has recently given up MNN Geep 302 [the blue unit] in exchange for MNN SW9 901. 302 is now relettered as ILSX 302 and working in Richardton, ND at an ethanol plant. 1363 [the green unit] is still there and the main power - we used it today to test the signals...

so you were working on the signals, not the RR itself. I am from that area, I actualy work at the place they spotted the two cars at today and they scared the heck out of me when they rolled by my door....

Yeah, sounds like this is it for the year for your end of the line. Just got the shunt enhancer installed and we were using the light engine on the move back north to test the system... Works well now, the crews won't have to flag it anymore.

As for running south - the line is cut right at the elevator...

I think the only reason they run south to North Branch is to serve a grain elevator there. Other than that the only other business is the Mill in Rush City, and now and then there may be a car or two that goes to a gas distributer on the other side of the BNSF tracks in Hinckley.
