While not a railroad show, but a railroad show on TV, I don't recall seeing anything about Choo Choo Bob having a show.

I just watched half an episode at work - why else would I be up at 0600? There was no doubt it was "about" our local CCB. He visited the Hiawatha trolley and had 261 stuff and stock footage in the episode. It was copyrighted 2008. Any one else familiar with it?

down in dakota county (Charter cable) it was 13, the CW. I did a schedule search and saw the time slot was listed as paid programming. Maybe it was just a commercial. But they never advertised - aside from the main character was Choo Choo Bob.

Looks like it's an infomercial except there are different episodes vs. normal infomercials which repeat over (and over and over). I couldn't find a program schedule on the website, but they have DVD's for sale with several past episodes. This show looks inspired by the Woodcraft Hobby shows of the 1960s and '70s, which leaned more toward the "scale" side of trains (plus R/C etc.).

I assume the time slot was 6:00am to whenever? I wonder if the show was 1/2 hour or 15 minutes. It's really hard to fill a half hour with fresh content. Woodcraft's "live" show was 15 minutes and I think a few infomercials are doing this now.

Thanks for the footwork, John. It makes sense why Rich Kornbelt had two hard suitcases. He opened one to reveal foam inserts craddling "new" locomotives. If only they sold door-to-door!

And oops: I should have written Lake Harriet trolley...

Very interesting venture with the DVDs. I've been to Choo Choo Bob's store with my nephew and it is a great genuine "train store" with a wide variety of stuff. With a competative pricing on the DVD, I'm sure there is enough interest to support a few.
