Post subject:  Partners in Preservation

I got an email from the director of the Minnesota Transportation Museum that said the Partners in Preservation program had selected 25 places in the twin cities to compete for grants to aid to support their preservation. The Minnesota Transportation Museum is one of the organizations that is competing for a grant.

They set up a Facebook page on which people can vote for which organization they'd like to see a grant go to. Everybody can vote for an organization once per day until October 12.

If you'd like to help to better preserve a part of this state's railroad history, Facebook search the page called Partners in Preservation. You can vote for the Minnesota Transportation Museum. Also rail-related are the James J. Hill house and the Wayzata depot.
