My wife flies up to Minnesota out of DFW monthly to visit her family (which is going through some tough medical issues) and I usually spend a few hours down in Saginaw, which is on the northwest corner of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. Saginaw is a pretty cool place. There's a crossing there between two BNSF subs at the UP. The Chamber of Commerce owns the old depot, and the parking lot there's a great place to railfan from. Here are my best photos from the area, taken over the last couple of months. - - - - - Hopefully I'll have some photos of UP 844, which is in OK right now. If the weather holds, I'll be going after it on Sunday. |
