In my second attempt at chasing a train, I followed UP 844 for about 80 miles, between Minco and Waurikia, OK. The train was here to commemorate the Oklahoma's centennial. This was my first time seeing big mainline steam, and I was thoroughly impressed. Here are my best shots from the chase: - - - (a bit soft, but still good, I think) - |

Thanks, although I'd say it's a nice change from anything! I still haven't seen 261 in person yet (how I managed to do that while living up there until 2003, I don't know)... |
