Well, time to stop being lazy and recap this wonderful Saturday. First stop was the Shoreham intermodal facility. CP 183 was shoving back as I was biking towards 35th Ave bridge, so I chased it down to the entrance. Didnt get a shot of the NREX 8822, but still a good catch. http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915724 Backing bike to the bridge in a mildly mad mood (due to the fish that jumped the hook) I was greeted with something to lighten the mood. http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915771 http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915774 After the KCK went by a train led by a GEVO, CSX Dash8W, and a BNSF B40-8W head out of town on the North Runner. http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915775 http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915776 The pullout job did a wonderful job on scratching this shot. http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915779 After this, I heard the "special 599" call up the dispatcher for a route into Shoreham. Looking closer I see a Ferromex GEVO and a UP C40-8. After running into Nat and chatting for a bit, I head to the bridge for a somewhat decent shot. Lighting is never the way it should be, atleast today. http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915731 After getting absolutely NOTHING at Humboldt, I head back to the bridge at 35th Ave for a bit, and proved worth it. The following all happened in about 15 minutes total. http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915781 http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915783 http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915786 http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915788 http://wctransfer.rrpicturearchives.net ... ?id=915790 A pretty good day, the Ferromex and Conrails were the best, but the Tunnel Motor would have been up there too. Now, the weekend will be perfect if the Pack win! Alec |

Alec, saw that Ferromex unit headed over the bridge after you left and knew you'd come up with a nice shot! Go Redskins! -Nat |

Looks like it turned out to be a very nice day for you, I hope the FXE comes back tomorrow on 490 or 496 that would make it worth stopping out in the rain. |
