My first day off with sun got me back to the tracks for the day, starting out in Richfield to see the PGR Santa train, http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.p ... 642&nseq=3 Than it was off to meet up with John at Pigs eye where the trains keeping the DS very busy, a few of the highlights where the BNSF 9846 heading east (can you tell what's wrong here) My second renumbered SD60M this one leading a stack train to Chi town Do you think KCS is hurting for motive power? Rushing units out of the factory without paint and I only thought NS did that Many more in my recent folder have a good X-mas and a happy new year |

The SD70MAC on the flatcar is from the crash in Motley. The switch was left lined for the siding, and then the train smashed into a string of Railbox cars. There were at least 150 Railbox cars there which had been in the siding for upwards of 2 years due to the slow lumber/housing market. |

I remember seeing those railbox cars when I drove up to DL last summer. I was wondering what those string of cars was for. Aren't those switches automatically lined for the main after something heads into the siding? They use those switches on the Hinckley Sub. |

Post subject: | Update on BNSF 9846 |
Weel the unit on the flat car that day has been repaired and is back on the rails, for those keeping track of NSF units in the "New" scheme you can add it to the list 9846 was seen over the weekend on CP-885 sporting her new paint job. |

That marking on the SOO unit must be old, because CP is now Canadian Pacific not CP Rail. |
