was in Grand Forks for the weekend came home on Tuesday and had quite the adventure on the way.....started out @ 2 in the afternoon where I found an eastbound getting refueled in Fargo with a severely faded Dash-9. headed over to Dilworth, saw the power for an easbound tie on to there train with a new 91xx ACe and a re# 60M, also caught 2 westbounds then moved on east where the floodgates opened!!!!
caught the first of 9 westbounds spread out from Detroit Lakes to St. Cloud. came up on the first of 2 eastbound stackes parked in Frazzee and Perham, ahead of them was two coal loads. the Loram was grinding from Dilworth to the cities and was tieing up traffic until they cleared in Wadena, so from Detroit Lakes to Wadena I caught 7 westbound trains, caught 2 more from Staples to St. cloud, plus 2 coal loads and one coal empty that were parked in Staples for a grand total of 19 trains in the 5.5 hours it took me to get from Fargo to St. Cloud.
the best part was that I caught two new ACes. one on a manifest in Dilworth and the other on the point of the stack parked in Perham. all the pics are loaded in the recent album from the trip.
