I had some time and the sky was sunny. - I stopped by Pig's Eye (for a little longer than I had planned) and first saw KCS 4100 [SD70ACe] on a westbound auto train. - An eastbounder, looking like a consist from GFD, EMD 3 was third in line. - While talking to xrayguy, a pair of old UP GeePs fouled the crossing on the UP-side of the parking area. A patched SP unit - now UP 1449 - was one of the two units. - Not that big of a deal, but neat any how, a rare CP duo of AC44s were consecutively numbered: 8545 and 8546. - My guess that CP's 599 came out of the yard with UP 8560, UP 2311, and UP 9350! In the train was an oversized load: - And finally, I chased a BNSF to Cottage Grove to get the snoot-nosed BNSF 6800. Photo links added 3/30! |
