Sitting at Uni for a bit this afternoon traffic was slow so I spent the time watching the ILS unit at Malt One go about its daily shoving duties when all of a sudden there was a puff of smoke and flames shooting out of the smoke stack, The guy running the unit ran out the door and jumped off the engine. There was fire on the ground in front of and along the side of the tracks, if you look in front of the cab you can see the smoke rising off the ground They never did call the fire department so I assume it was oil burning on the ground and not the grass or ties. After a bit the engineer climbed back on and tried to move the unit but she erupted in flames again at 1630 two ILS trucks showed up not sure if they can fix her on site or if she will be moved to Bethel. Kinda neat thank goodness no one was hurt.
