I was out this evening after the temperature dropped a few degrees and was able to get some fresh air and saw a few trains. I was able to snap a few pictures before the sun went behind some clouds too which was nice. http://johnfladung.net/images/CPR/070108CP8517.html http://www.johnfladung.net/images/BNSF/ ... F5845.html Can someone explain this to me? http://johnfladung.net/images/BNSF/070108BNSF4446.html I've never seen a BNSF train on that track. Was this some sort of re-route? Anyone know anything about it? They crept into the yard and when I left the Kellogg overpass and went back to the yard to see what was happening there I saw the power and at least 2-5 crew members bringing the power back around to the west end of the yard. I didn't see if they picked up some other cars and go west again because when I left the units were still sitting in the yard. |

thats called the Depot track, goes over the UP roberts street bridge, crosses Soo 1 and 2 right under the Roberts street car bridge at grade. they prolly came from the UP South St. Paul yard. did they head in to Pigs eye or into the Bluff yard?? I have seen BNSF power on the UP once before but it was all CN hoppers. |

The BNSF has started running grain trains off the UP and that's what it was. The trains originate in Savage or somewhere else around Valley Park. |
