When todays planned family event was postponed at the last minute, it took me about a millisecond to decide I was heading trackside. I headed out the door about 8:00AM and didn't get back until about 6:00PM.
The trains didn't disappoint me either, there was plenty of action over St. Paul way. While I didn't see anything that could be classified as rare, I did spot my fist ever KCS de Mexico engine on a UP train. It was 3rd in line and the shot was shoot from the hip and dead against the sun but it is in the album.
There are 22 new photo's in the Album plus these two at RP.net.

This is also a shoot from the hip shot. I had just parked the car and was walking across the street when I saw the refletion of the headlight in the tunnel. While hurrying the rest of the way across the street, removing the lens cap and turning on the camera I managed to trip on the curb. Picking myself up I managed to squeeze off this shot.
All in all it was a great day with trains everywhere I went. The only thing missing was any of my usual trackside companions. Maybe next time guys.
Hope you enjoy
