Well, another railfan and myself headed to the cities for the World's Greatest Hobby on Tour. We caught the several hours late Amtrak in Sauk Rapids before heading to the show. Also on the way we caught a local near Big Lake that was holding for the Amtrak. The show was awesome, a lot of good deals, and a lot of people! After the show we hit Becker's MRRS. After that we found Northtown Yard and shot a few shots. We met another railfan at Northtown who was also taking pictures. He was very nice. At Northtown we saw three CP trains, and two BNSF trains. We moved to Crystal to find better sun, we did, but an operator error of the camera proved to be fatal to any shots and my part. Shortly after the CP train, another one with two BNSF units (one wedgie) came through will a mix of CP cars. Here is the local, and the Amtrak we caught... |
