Having spent alot of time sitting trackside all over the country I'm always amazed at the new and exciting sights I have seen over the years, so while sitting at University on Sunday I was not suprised to see a "Hobo" looking guy sitting in the trees with his dog throwing back a few beers at 9 in the morning. Turns out the guy is in fact a hobo but not just any hobo he is the 2008-2009 King of Hobo's! I spent some time talking with him and listining to his stories most made me laugh but a few made me take a moment to reflect on my own life. Anyway a brush with royalty of sorts. I've talked to a few Hobo's over the years as well. Generally nice people who I dont mind talking to or atleast telling them if anything that they are looking for is coming. Alec |

This is the second one I have taken time to talk to, most others are looking or info on what trains are on the way and where they are going and the rest well lets just say I will avoid them at all cost, but than again I do the same with some railfans as well

neat story Matt. Maybe that's how braham should get his Powder River trip in is to jump on an empty coal train.  I wonder if hobos ever get to go over the hump track?
