I've just joined this board and learned some information about a Central Kansas Railway locomotive I recently spotted in New Brighton. There was a suggestion that it might be on its way to Horicon for painting.

A few weeks ago I saw this Hudson Bay Railway unit at the same siding in New Brighton. It was pristine. Was this unit on the return trip from being painted, perhaps? If not, why else might it have been there?

my guess is its on the return trip home to canada. I shot it in Grand Forks, ND. in Jan. MilwaukeeroadMatt spotted in the the metro this spring.

It was going back up to Canada when it was sitting in the spur. That was the third HBRY unit to come up to New Brighton. I hope more keep making there way up here.
