I got a chance to spend a nice warm spring afternoon trackside with MM. There was a fair amount of action and what I miss here, Matt should be able to document as we both snapped a good number of Pics. First thing by was this . He would continue on up and eventually back down to a waiting Grain Train. I then got paged from work and had to leave for a bit, when I returned and Soon followed by this Dash9 with a 2nd in line with a trailing Warbonett. Then my favorite photo of the day a CP tied with a nice blue lease unit. I think this is a really great color combination. Matt had been monitoring a train that had an engine completely quit on them. They came down and uncoupled their load and shoved the crippled engine back in by the BNSF car yard. Caught this pic when they came back out, A with a new CSX ES44DC. Wasn't very long when this came by. With both of us needing to be other places we saw this come by and that was the end of railfanning for me, at least for the day. |

It was a great day both weather and the amount of trains running through the yard, it is always a bonus to railfan with a fellow TCR member. Many more days like this ahead as summer is right around the corner. |
