Post subject:  3 first's for me.
I suppose I could try and revive this Trip Reports/Great Catches thread with a quick post from yesterday. I'm going on 7 years actively railfanning this month and you would think "first's" while railfanning have to be dwindling, but I had 3 yesterday afternoon! The first would be a pair of road GE's on the St Cloud Local due to a shortage of Local power:

The second would be catching an NS SD60E leading a train:

And finally the third, after catching both of the special paints on the BNSF, 8197/then-9647, 18 NS heritage units, I had never shot a specialty painted UP engine, until yesterday:

Very nice shots!

I saw the NS train on my way home.

While this was going there was a WB train stopped on Main 2 just east of the first crossing in Clear Lake. I heard chatter about a train being reported as having one of the last cars smoking. Did you see anything like that yesterday? Saw ya sitting in Becker.

I can't believe the 2002 isn't yellow yet....I was supposed to get painted just a couple years after the 2002 Winter Olympics but I'll take it the way it is. Now where is the 2001 hiding?
