Well I decided I was more sick of sitting at home then I was about the heat and humidty so I braved it for a short while this afternoon. Nothing major to report but a couple of interesting items. I found 41 flat cars of these sitting in the UP Hoffman yard. Anyone know where their headed? The cleanest Warbonnett I have ever seen came by pulling a coal train. According to the Diesel Shop it is a only 26 on the roster, so I'm counting it as a rare catch. It also had a SD60M in tow and I do like those also. Also caught the after a crew change. I wish the conditions had been better but all that haze in the air made it difficult for the amature photog that I am. I also noticed in that photo that there are a lot of brown trees up in the bluffs. There's a few more PICS on Webshots but that's it for now. Hope you enjoy |

I too consider the SD75I a rareity, with only on on my roster in WB paint, 8288, same as you saw, but a different time. I think any SD75M is rare, up here anyway, with only 3 in ATSF WB paint and 3 in BNSF H2 paint on my roster. I did get lucky tonite though with a tac load, had an SD75M up front and another for DPU, both BN H2 units nice shots. |

I don't know where those pipes are from or are going. I have seen several loads occasionally coming from the north on the CP. When I was in Owatonna, I saw pipes peaking above the line of trees, when we were driving on 35. This was how I knew a train was there. Were these part of the CP-UP delivery? |
