I would like to share one other rather amusing story about the Staples run marathon of Saturday. The wife and I are sitting at the Little Falls depot (Actually its the Chamber of Commerce) and had already caught 3 EBs when she mentioned she had to use the restroom. I was also in need and figuring that we just saw 3 trains it might be a while until the next so we walked over to the Super America about 1/2 a block away. After walking in, I decided I needed to do a little more serious work then I had first anticipated. I had no more the settled down on the thrown in the meat locker cold restroom when a long blast of a diesel horn was heard. Muttering some obcenity's under my breath about my bad luck I went back to the task at hand as I listened to the EB roaring through town. Once again lured into a feeling of "there can't be another one real soon" I began the paper work. The just mentioned paper work was not even done when the next horn could be heard on another EB heading through town. I uttered another long string of obcenity's, this time out loud, as I exited the room to find my wife waiting with the words of wisdom that "I should learn to hold it a little longer". |
