A belated report from last week at Northtown... Lots of activity and lots of interesting power. First up is NS, they made a number of appearances last week. Here is C40-8W 9201 passing the deadlines http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191950 And a C40-8 8692 with a BNSF unit to add some color passing under the Soo bridge http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191763 And the same power with the Mpls skyline in the background http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191761 BN caboose 12607 with some interesting artwork was also working by the deadlines with a former QNSL unit behind it http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191959 And here is the deadline with an interesting all-green look, a passing train had BNSF 7812, the last big-logo SD40-2 as the second unit... http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191669 The local work train brings panels in for some minor work by the diesel shop http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=192158 The WC transfer showed up with a trio of interesting units - CN SD60F 5507 passes the skyline here http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=192423 And 5507 pulls past the container storage area... http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191767 IC 6007 complete with the Operation Lifesaver logos would lead the eastbound... http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191845 On the north end of the yard Oakway 9031 sat at the shops http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191758 And some new GEVOs pass older and dirtier power... http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=191570 The newest set of hump power - a pair of green SD40-2s - works the hump today, this set has supplemented the slug sets since at least last summer...
