GSRM - it's a long way to go, and they have a long way to go............... My son had a baseball game in New Prague(40 minutes from Apple Valley). this past July. We arrived early, so we went in search of the museum. We approached from the South and expected to find the museum along the UP tracks. I couldn't see the tracks from the road and almost missed the site. It was not too far from a house. It looked like someone had parked a few brokendown railcars on their property. They hadn't painted the caboose when we drove by this summer. I think it will be many years before this museum will amount to much. On the other hand, it is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a great idea with potential. Check out their website at |

So if they do not rebuild what is the future for the GSRM? A new location with rail service would be the best for any future equipment, but moving the current equipment would be costly not to mention finding a location that would be sutiable. |

They have a location to "build on". They are "to busy in parades", and "OTHER" public functions to work on the equipment itself... |

The GSRM site is located just North of New Prague. The bridge collapse will only be a problem due to the equipment stuck on the Chaska side of the river. http://www.chaskaherald.com/node/1343 |

Not to put the GSRM down, but the way they are in parades, the equipment is just going to sit there and rot if they don't do something. |
