OK. I've no idea where to post this but the book was written by 2 members of the streetcar museum so it makes sense to put it here.
I just bought a copy of "Twin Cities by trolley" by John Diers and Aaron Isaacs. Superb book. Trolley cars fascinate me and this book caters for everything. Don't know how a trooley car works? It's in here. I learnt a whole load just reading the glossary. Then the history of the whole system with a breakdown of every route. I never knew there was so much to the system.
I was particularly interested by the Motor line or the Minneapolis, Lyndale and Minnetonka Railway. That ran steam lcomotives disguised as trolley cars so as not to scare the horses.
A great book. I saw it at Barnes and Noble well worth a flick through while you're sipping on your Grande Mocha...
