I ran across this place some time ago along HWY 12 in Dassel, MN while returning from a trip to Willmar. You get a walking tour by the owners wife and than the building is yours to roam as you please with lots of historic RR artifacts and dysplays along with a huge RR library to read through lots of pictures and old maps to browse I recommend this to anyone who is in the area. |

Did they say anything about a Dakota Rail caboose being there at one time or another? We've (me and my dad) have been tring to figure out what happened to it. We have one photo of it on a section of rail at what looks like a park, but we can't tell where it is. He also thought it was on the west side of Hutchinson, but it wasn't found. Thanks, Aaron B. |

They do have acaboose in the front of the building, however it looks to be of GN hertiage. |

The Dakota Rail's caboose was an old Milwaukee Road ribside caboose, which the Milwaukee made at their Milwaukee Shops, I think. Thanks for the help though. Aaron B. |

No problem, I did a little background on the caboose in the lot there, it is GN caboose X-104. |
