RRpicturarchives askes for an "AAR Type" for rolling stock. it also list a small bit of info as to what the type is. after a search on the AAR website I have not been able to find a list of what cars are what type. examples C113 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=1301802 C313 http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=1342142 I am going off of what similar shaped cars are listed as. does anyone know where such a list of what each car is listed as???? |

I found http://www.bnsf.com/cws/eqpumlerpublic/cartype.html lists the first alpha http://www.bnsf.com/cws/eqpumlerpublic/roofcode.html is a numeric code for "roof" type http://espee.railfan.net/aar_1989.html is a model railroader site with a list and explanation from 1989 |

everything I have found list them by cubic feet of interior space so those help too. |

I've done more research since your question and cannot find any more recent info. Even AAR.org doesn't have anything available. A lot of modeller sites have info, but, again, the info is prior to '89. |
