They had to have a power car with them.. The idea was.. for instance: Grain was bulk loaded into them. Flour was shipped back in them... The idea was just not practical. |

The power car gave power to the motors that shake the floor to ease in unloading. |

I have not seen one of those things actively running in at least 12-15 years. |
